Beginning in the Valley, you will meet the pilgrims at the vibrant Buddhist and Hindu temples, sit down with a Living Goddess, and visit the palaces of Kathmandu, Patan, and Bhaktapur. Heading west, you drive to the charming Newari hill town of Bandipur before driving down to Tiger Tops Tharu Lodage in Chitwan Royal Animal Park. After visiting jungle villages, searching for tigers and riding elephants, you will visit one of the holiest places in Nepal – Lumbini, the birthplace of Buddha, and Janakpur, birthplace of Sita, and one of the holiest Hindu sites in the world. Here you can visit the temple and the Janakpur Woman’s Craft Development Center, one of the finest and most varied craft operations in Nepal.
