Horse Festivals traveling through Tibet

Pandas, Monks, Nuns, and Nomads

This culturally rich trip takes travelers to Lhasa, the spiritual center of the country, and off the beaten path exploring the religion and countryside. In Lhasa, you will visit ancient palaces and holy sites (the Jokhang, Norbulinka, and Potala) and nearby, the fascinating monasteries of Sera and Drepung.

Driving out of the city, you visit Drigung, an important monastery for sky burials in Tibet, next is the charming nunnery of Terdrum, with its hot springs; and Reteng, for spectacular views of the Tibetan snow-capped mountains. The trip climaxes with a wonderful day enjoying the festivities at the Nagchu Horse Festival.
